Westgate Village Apartments in Malvern, PA is hiring full time Maintenance Technicians.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Westgate Apartments. Westgate is a First Montgomery Group Property. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the apartment community and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for all residents. You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, from minor repairs to preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance for residential apartments and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from residents promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues before they become problems.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts necessary for repairs and maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation of apartments for new residents.
  • Collaborate with property management to ensure the overall upkeep of the apartment complex.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a residential or apartment complex setting.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance procedures, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair common household appliances and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
  • Availability for a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
